Giant Captain Marvel Ad Shines On Spotlight In NY City’s Times Square

Marvel Studios surprised fans by putting up a giant Captain Marvel advertisement in New York City’s Times Square. The three ad banners featured the newest poster of Brie Larson as Captain Marvel donning her blue, red and gold suit. It also had the film’s logo and release date.

Larson was among the ones who reacted to the pictures of the Times Square ad on Twitter. She retweeted the ad’s picture and captioned it “She’s in Times Square? She’s in Times Square!” You can check out the tweet below.

To make the New Year more special for her fans, Larson has announced a new contest whose winner will get a Captain Marvel jacket. Those interested in entering the contest are required to post a comment below Larson’s picture on Instagram mentioning one thing they want to do that scares them.

Let’s tell 2019 to BRING IT,” Larson wrote. “I want you to comment below with something you plan to do next year that scares you. Something outside your comfort zone. Something that you will overcome because you’re a badass. I’ll choose one person randomly to receive this Captain Marvel Her Universe jacket. I’ll sign it too, if you want. Happy new year everyone!

Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel tells Carol’s origin story and explains how she became a part of the Kree squad called Starforce after having her memory of Earth wiped off. Danvers finds herself caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races that threatens to turn Earth into its next front.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, from a screenplay written by Boden, Fleck, Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Jac Schaeffer, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Jude Law, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Gemma Chan, Lashana Lynch, Rune Temte, Algenis Perez Soto, Mckenna Grace, with Annette Bening, and Clark Gregg.
