‘Gotham’ Reacts At ‘Arrow’ For Name Dropping Bruce Wayne In S6 E2 ‘Tribute’ Sneak Peek

A promo for Arrow season 6 episode 2 in which Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) mentions the name of Bruce Wayne (Batman) and even Gotham City has been doing the rounds on the internet. However, Gotham doesn’t seem too amused with the mention of Bruce Wayne.

In a sneak peek at tomorrow’s episode of Arrow season 6, posted on Twitter, Oliver Queen drops the name of Bruce Wayne during a press conference about Oliver’s Green Arrow photo. Oliver Queen denies the image being real and went on to say that it could have been anybody else. “They could have put Bruce Wayne’s head on that body. Has Bruce Wayne left Gotham to hang out in Star City recently? No,” says the Mayor.

If in case you have missed the Arrow season 6 premiere, then you might like to know that towards the end of the first episode of season 6, Oliver’s identity as Green Arrow was exposed. Now, a promo clip from the upcoming episode ‘Tribute’ shows how Oliver will lie to the world and the press about his real identity that has been unmasked. In the process, he brings in or rather throws in another superhero in the picture. He names both Bruce Wayne and Gotham City in a press conference. Oliver comes across extremely confident while lying about his true identity and tries to convince the press by saying anyone could be photoshopped.

This statement on Bruce Wayne has fans speculating whether Batman will be making an appearance in season 6. However, Gotham is not too impressed with this as they tweeted ‘Bruce Wayne was still in Gotham last time we checked.’

Arrow star David Ramsey had earlier this year mentioned that he wanted Ben Affleck to make a cameo as Bruce Wayne in the series Though this is unlikely to happen as both Arrow and Gotham aren’t part of the DCEU, it is quite possible that someone will play Bruce Wayne sometime in the series. There has been no official confirmation on this as yet.

Arrow airs at 9 p.m. ET/PT every Thursday on The CW.
