Gotham Season 4 is set to air its midseason finale next week. The Fox network show will wrap its first run of the fourth season with episode 11 titled “Queen Takes Knight” wherein a familiar face returns to the town with an ulterior motive of his own.
The network has just released a promo video teasing the events of episode 11 and a glimpse of the big bad Jerome Valeska. Fans will remember him as a psychopath and a murderer who has made several appearances in the series. He was last seen in Season 3 episode titled “Mad City: The Gentle Art of Making Enemies.”
Meanwhile, Alfred and Bruce remain at odds. This time, however, Bruce is determined to show who he really is. At the same time, The Penguin continues to create chaos in Gotham City and Gordan takes a stand. Scroll down to view the trailer for Gotham Season 4 midseason finale.
In addition, the network has released plot details that hints at the return of Carmine Falcone, also known as The Roman. The return of powerful mafia chieftain will not be good news for Gordon, Sofia and Penguin.
Also, Nygma’s struggle continues. He has still not gained control over The Riddler persona. He makes every effort to do so. Elsewhere, Tabitha makes an attempt to remind Grundy of his past as Butch.
“Things get complicated for Gordon, Sophia and Penguin when Carmine Falcone (guest star John Doman) comes to town. Alfred tries to get through to Bruce once and for all, while Nygma struggles to gain control over The Riddler persona and Tabitha attempts to make Grundy remember his past. Meanwhile, a familiar smile resurfaces in Gotham,” reads the official description for “Queen Takes Knight.”
Gotham features Ben McKenzie as James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne and Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth. Season 4 episode 9 airs Dec. 7 on The Fox.
