Gotham: Batman Actor David Mazouz Confirms The Real Joker Is Coming Soon

The wait for Joker fans is over. After years of waiting, the real Joker might be headed to Gotham city. In a recent podcast session, actor David Mazouz, who plays the role of Bruce Wayne, hinted at the Joker’s appearance.

For a long time, fans have assumed that Jerome is the Joker. During Discussing Film’s podcast, Mazouz revealed that Jerome might be an inspiration for the Joker, but he is not the real Joker. Once again, he denied the theory that several Gotham cast members have done in the past, on multiple occasions.

According to Mazouz, Cameron Monaghan’s character will not evolve into the fan-favorite villain. However, fans must keep their faith, as the character is expected to make his first appearance on the show very soon.

He’s not the Joker, that’s all I’m saying. He’s definitely the inspiration for the Joker and the way that the Joker comes into the show is one of the most brilliant things Gotham has ever done,” Mazouz said during the podcast.

In addition, Monaghan confirmed the story after Mazouz’s interview in a tweet. Unfortunately, the tweet has been deleted since. However, Comicbook was quick enough to take note of Monaghan’s comments.

I can confirm. What we’ve cooked up and discussed is something not to be missed. It’s a twist on familiar themes, both new and old echoes of the mythos. Something entirely new, but we believe true to the spirit of the show as well as the comics. Proud I got to be a part of it,” Monaghan reportedly wrote on Twitter.

The details about real Joker’s introduction is still not available but it is certain that he will be arriving soon. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out between Batman and his biggest nemesis.

Gotham is currently on winter hiatus. The show will return to FOX in spring. Keep visiting Pursue News for more updates.
