Elizabeth Debicki’s role as Ayesha in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was stunningly portrayed thanks to her wonderful performance. But the character’s visual appearance received appreciation from the masses thanks to Costume Designer Judiana Makovsky and James Gunn.
Initially, various designs were considered for Ayesha’s look. Recently, concept artist Kevin Chen shared the alternate costume designs that could have made it to the big screen. Going by the looks of it, Director Gunn and designer Makovsky might have faced a hard time as each and every design looks compellingly aesthetic.
One of the designs reveals Ayesha in a sleek golden dress sporting long hair. Every version of the costume does justice in portraying the character as a high priestess with great arrogance that her race is genetically perfect compared to the rest. Fans can check out the photos below.
Fortunately, we’ll get to see more of Ayesha in the third installment. In an interview with IGN, Gunn revealed that he already has plans to bring back the character for the Vol. 3. Furthermore, he also said that Debicki was one of his favorite actors that he had the opportunity to work with on the film.
While Ayesha’s portrayal was gladly accepted by the fans- it’s possible that Gunn might decide to tweak her costume for the third installment. Currently, fans can rest assured that Debicki would certainly reprise her golden high priestess character in Vol. 3.
Gunn had total creative control in the making of the Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 and going by its raging success at box office-President Kevin Feige wouldn’t flinch to give Gunn the same control over the next title. If so, it guarantees the return of Ayesha and other characters such as Mantis who also fall under the director’s favorite list of actors/characters.
