Marvel may have already released its much-awaited trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but that does not seem to stop the studio from sharing other promotional materials.
Director James Gunn and the Guardians of the Galaxy cast members have dropped new posters from the upcoming sequel. These are the first set of character posters released for the movie.
Chris Pratt And Zoe Saldana Share Character Poster From Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Chris Pratt (Starlord) shared his character on Facebook. The actor wrote a descriptive message on the post discussing the time he first played the role in the original movie and more. Fans can check it out below.
Zoe Saldana decided to drop her poster on Twitter. Similar to her character Gamora, the actress didn’t have much to say. But it hasn’t stopped the fans from getting on the hype train.
Character posters of Yondu (Michael Rooker), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Ego (Kurt Russell), Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) and Rocket (Bradley Cooper) were also shared on social media. Fans can check out the entire gallery below.
James Gunn Stops Debate Over Movie Tone
While fans are rejoiced to get their first look at the exclusive character posters, some seem to have started a comparison debate over DCEU’s Justice League and MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Fortunately, James Gunn stepped in to put an end to the debate. The director clarified that “no movie is only one or the other.” Fans can check out his tweet below.
In the past, DCEU has faced heated from fans over their movie’s dark tone. Although fans have criticized their approach, the studio has unwaveringly continued with their style of filming.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 releases on May 5th, 2017. Currently, the cast members are filming their character part for Avengers: Infinity War.
