Guardians Of The Galaxy Actor Sean Gunn Teases Kraglin’s Return In MCU Phase 4

Actor Sean Gunn, who portrays the character of the Ravager Kraglin in Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, has teased that his character is all set to make a return in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe which would be Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

The actor had previously appeared in James Gunn directed 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy and 2017’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. He was introduced as a faithful mate to Yondu Udonta (Michael Rooker) who raised Peter Quill (Chris Pratt). In fact, he is the one, who has inherited the dead Yondu’s whistle-controlled Yaka Arrow after his death in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Gunn also performs the motion capture for the computer-generated Guardians of the Galaxy member, Rocket Raccoon, voiced by Bradley Cooper.

During an interview with Good Day Sacramento, Gunn confirmed that he is surely returning for Avengers 4 to provide the on-screen motion reference to Rocket. But, he did not offer any information related to his return as Kraglin in Avengers 4. He teased that fans can expect Kraglin’s return sometime during Phase 4 of the MCU.

I can neither confirm nor deny whether I’ll be in the next Avengers movie,” the actor said. “I did work on it as Rocket, but as for my other character, I think we’ll just have to keep watching. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of him but there’s more coming somewhere.”

James Gunn, who is returning as the writer and director for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, himself took to Twitter to confirm that Kraglin is still relevant to the Guardians’ story and is also safe from Thanos’ finger snap that wiped almost half of the universe.

Kraglin is still around – don’t worry! He has important stuff to do and all will be eventually revealed,” James tweeted.

In another tweet, the director mentioned that Kraglin is off doing something important during Infinity War and that he will return soon.

It remains to be seen if Sean’s Kraglin will make a return in Avengers 4 or if his story will continue in 2020’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
