Earlier this month, James Gunn revealed that he will be directing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The news was announced by the director himself on Twitter as fans and critics shared acclaimed responses for the second installment.

Since then, Gunn has continued to be active on Twitter, answering any possible queries from his followers. Recently, the director was questioned if Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would “be a prequel to Infinity wars.”

“No. Vol. 3 will take place AFTER Avengers 3 & 4,” wrote Gunn. Fans can check out his tweet below.

In other GOTG news, fans interested in discussing more on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 are in luck.  Earlier, the director announced that he will be going live on Facebook next Sunday (May 14th) and will be answering “Spoiler-inclusive questions.” The tweet has been embedded below.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is still yet to release in a few countries. The film hits theaters this Friday in India and next weekend in Japan. Fans that get to experience the movie on its release can be part of the discussion with no risk of spoilers.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is currently performing at its best at the box office. A report from Deadline revealed that the movie opened with a $106 million at the international box office. Furthermore, it looks to earn over $140-$160M on the opening in U.S and Canada.

The MCU film looks to rack in more earnings internationally after releasing in countries like India and Japan. For now, fans can admire the behind-the-scene photos shared by Gunn on Instagram.
