It seems the Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor’s team up in Thor: Love and Thunder will eventually lead them into a fiery battle scene (literally), going by a recent TV spot. The new promotional clip has MCU fans calling this brief band-up the Asgardians of the Galaxy, even director James Gunn gave a shout-out for Kraglin’s (Sean Gunn) inclusion. New images have surfaced highlighting Thor 4’s cast Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson and Natalie Portman in their character attires as marketing amps up.
It’s raining Love and Thunder as the Taika Waititi-helmed Marvel Studios flick inches closer to its release and with the red carpet premiere set for this week – the marketing team is not pulling any punches teasing fans by offering new glimpses of Valkyrie’s fight scenes, Mighty Thor’s Asgard suit, first look at Miek in a dashing teacher-Esque attire and first sight at Omnipotence City, the parliament of pantheons pulled right out of Marvel comics.
For those unaware, Omnipotence City was constructed as a parliament of sorts for the old and the new gods, a nexus for all deities to share their divine knowledge. An earlier official image showed the Black Panther universe’s god, Bast in the presence of other pantheons but the place was presumed to be the grand city of Olympus where Zeus (Russell Crowe) resides. Could it be the Omnipotence city? Luckily, the wait isn’t long to find out.
The one-minute promo titled ‘Speech’ also showed a new look at Dave Bautista’s Drax and Karen Gillan’s Nebula in the midst of a battle, Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) in guns-blazing action, Pom Klementieff’s Mantis alongside the God of Thunder and few new shots of Waititi’s Korg. Additionally, the TV spot includes new dialogue from Christian Bale‘s Gorr the God Butcher. Readers can check it out below.
