While Warner Bros. and DC Films have remained tightlipped about the Justice League Snyder Cut, fans from all over the world have been trying to convince the studio to release the film’s version directed by ace director Zack Snyder. The demand for a Snyder cut has received a lot of global support but there are still some who use social media to tease fans.
HBO Asia recently shared a Justice League Zack Snyder Cut meme on its official Twitter account. The post shows a scene from the cartoon series Dexter’s Laboratory and Dex is whispering #ReleaseTheS… into another character’s ear.
The HBO Asia account also got fans’ attention with a different image over the last weekend that featured a photo of Aquaman star Jason Momoa reaching high into the air towards a caption that says “Justice League Snyder Cut”. Over Momoa’s head is a caption that read “Fanboys”. You can check out both the posts below.
The meme referred to a statement that the Aquaman actor recently made about the supposed Justice League Snyder Cut. During an interview with MTV News, while promoting his latest DC Comics movie Aquaman, when Momoa was asked to comment on a different Justice League edit that’s more in line with Snyder ideas for the film, he said he also wants to see it.
“I’m obsessed with [the Snyder cut] too,” Momoa said adding, “That’s just one thing that sucks with our business, where you just can’t speak your mind. But yeah, f*** yeah I want to see it.”
2017 released Justice League saw the coming together of all fan-favorite DC superheroes including Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), the Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). Despite a great cast, the film bombed at the box office due to poor story and CGI. It managed to gross a mere $230 million domestically, the least of all five DC Extended Universe movies.
Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
