Aside from the Thor franchise’s main cast, Thor: Love and Thunder feature Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord and his fellow Guardians, and going by director James Gunn’s hint – it may be one of the last appearances of the defenders in MCU before their conclusion in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The fourth installment helmed by Taika Waititi doesn’t seem to be holding back any punches in delivering more bromance moments between Pratt and Chris Hemsworth and Thor 4’s debut trailer is proof of that. Recently, Pratt spoke about his working relationship with the Thor actor and was nothing short of praises.
Thor: Love and Thunder is two months away from its theatrical release and Marvel Studios’ marketing tactics have so far worked in their favor with recently released images of Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie and Natalie Portman’s Mighty Thor showered with compliments from Film Twitter. Now, its Love and Thunder star Pratt showering love for Hemsworth, who expressed his delight in working with him.
“I love being able to work with Chris Hemsworth,” Pratt said speaking to SFX Magazine. “He is like Thor in real life. He’s the sweetest dude. Super-funny. Works so hard. It was great. I loved every minute of shooting [Thor 4]. I’m so grateful that they brought us along. It was neat to see him bring this to Australia and shoot it there, with all of his fellow countrymen. And with director Taika Waititi, who is just outrageous. His style is so unique.”
Hope remains high for Thor: Love and Thunder which follows up on 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok. While the God of Thunder seems to be on a path to peace after the events of Avengers: Endgame – people from his past, particularly, Jane Foster may complicate Thor’s mid-life crisis and that may be the least of his worries with Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale) hunting down gods.
Directed by Waititi, the film also stars Russell Crowe, Jaimie Alexander, Sean Gunn, Karen Gillan and Dave Bautista. Thor: Love and Thunder hits theatres on July 8.
