Henry Cavill Superman is trending all over social media after news broke of the actor’s possible appearance at San Diego Comic-con 2022. It seems the 39-year-old star will be present to discuss Superman news and the meltdown over his potential return has fans already speculating a likely cameo in Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam & more.

San Diego Comic-Con just got more exciting for DCEU fans thanks to Warner Bros. reportedly including a surprise appearance from the Man of Steel actor to discuss about the red-caped heroes’ future. The news comes from Deadline though there’s no specific detail regarding the announcement.

In any case, it’s got the Snyderverse fanbase hopeful after reports emerged that Superman would be erased from the timeline due to the events of The Flash. In addition, it was also stated Zack Snyder’s DCEU would fall prey to the Flashpoint-Esque event too but luckily, knowing Hollywood – plans change and the new leadership at Warner Bros. Discovery may have some exciting news that pleases the entire DCEU fanbase. In fact, Johnson teased sometime back that he would deliver on fans’ expectations. Many took it as a sign that a Black Adam and Superman confrontation was not out of the realm of possibilities. Though, the larger fandom is expecting to see Cavill reprise the role in a Superman sequel. For long, many have campaigned for it with the fan-dubbed working title, Man of tomorrow.

It seems like David Zaslav’s desire to revitalize the Superman IP may have finally helped re-establish a deal with Cavill. The Witcher star reportedly butted heads with Warner Bros. over pay and assurance of a Man of Steel sequel rather than just play cameos in other DC projects.

Speaking of supes, The Flash will also debut Sasha Calle’s Supergirl so it will be interesting to see how all the events tie in with DCEU’s Superman. SDCC 2022 Hall-H will take place on Saturday, 23 July so stay tuned for more updates.
