‘If Mia Goth is Lilith in..’ – Blade fans & critics react with exciting theories on Pearl star’s MCU casting

Marvel Studios’ Blade reboot undoubtedly has a star-studded cast with Mia Goth‘s latest addition receiving roof-raising cheers from the MCU fandom. From the looks of it, the Mahershala Ali starrer feature may have cast the Pearl star, known for her horror routes – to play as Lilith or at least that’s what stans and Marvel critics/insiders are speculating.

The Daywalker reboot movie has faced a few hurdles since going into development. Earlier Reports claimed that Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali was unsatisfied by a 90-page weak script. However, studio execs were quick to find a replacement in Michael Starrburry, who is penning a new script for the Vampire Hunter pic.

With Blade expected to begin filming in Summer 2023, more details regarding its cast have begun to roll out like the Deadline report which states the 2022’s X actor is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There is no information on the character she would be playing but many believe she would play Lilith. The horror actor’s casting has also restored fans’ hope in the standalone film.

There is also a discussion among some Marvel pundits if Mia Goth could portray the Midnight Sons’ Mother of Demons version of Lilith or the Daughter Dracula iteration. Nonetheless, the character has a strong history in Marvel comics – particularly in Blade’s lore. She is also known as the mother of demons posing as a big bad in Midnight Sons.

In any case, these are mere speculations at the moment so readers are advised to take it with a grain of salt. Readers can check out reactions below.

With the debut of characters like Moon Knight and fans’ increasing interest to see Wong, Doctor Strange and not to forget Werewolf by Night’s Elsa Bloodstone – there has been more hope for Marvel Studios to explore a Midnight Suns movie.

If all goes well with MCU’s Vampire Hunter feature, a supernatural ensemble team-up does not look far-fetched, especially since the studio is proceeding with a Suicide Squad-Esque team-up through Thunderbolts.

Goth is also in discussion to play a role in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein movie. The actress’ recent performances were raved among the critics’ circle while cinephiles have been genuinely terrified by her eerie acting chops.

Directed by Yann Demange, the Blade movie is set to release on September 6, 2024.
