Incredibles 2 First Official Trailer Gets The Reaction It Deserves On Social Media

Disney-Pixar has finally rolled out a brand new official trailer for the highly anticipated movie, The Incredibles 2, during NBC’s Olympics coverage on Wednesday night. The upcoming movie is the sequel to the 2004 film, The Incredibles, which revolves around the super-powered Parr family including dad Bob, mom Helen, and kids Violet, Dash and baby Jack-Jack. The trailer release was indeed a Valentine treat for the fans. The film’s story picks up immediately after the original 2004 film.

In the new trailer, Helen Parr/Elastigirl can be seen doing her superhero thing to save the world. Her husband Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible stays at home taking up more household duties and looking after the kids. The new trailer focuses heavily on the youngest member of the Parr family- Jack-Jack. It seems Mr. Incredible is going to have an amazingly tough time keeping up with little Jack-Jack.

The little Jack-Jack displays his unique and interesting superpowers in the footage. To fans surprise, when Mr. Incredible takes away his cookie, the kid transforms himself into a red monster.

The film’s official synopsis reads as below-

In “Incredibles 2,” Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose superpowers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.

Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Samuel L. Jackson, Sarah Vowell, and John Ratzenberger have all returned for the sequel. The Incredibles 2 has been written and directed by Brad Bird who will once again voice super suit designer Edna Mode.

Notably, Pixar has also shared a couple of new posters for the upcoming film which shows the Parr family’s superhero costumes getting washed and ready. The Incredibles 2 is set to hit the big screen on June 15.
