Incredibles 2: Samuel L. Jackson Gives New Trailer ‘The Avengers’ Speech

Samuel L. Jackson is going to reprise his role of the super-cool, freeze-themed hero, Frozone, in Disney Pixar’s upcoming animated movie, Incredibles 2. Jackson also recently showed up for a cameo in the Marvel blockbuster, Avengers: Infinity War as Nick Fury. The actor seems to be a bit confused about the two films as he was found hilariously quoting The Avengers in an Incredibles 2 promo.

Yes, it’s true. A brand-new Incredibles 2 teaser clip, which focuses on Jackson, begins with the actor quoting the iconic dialogue from The Avengers movie that was doled out by the actor’s Nick Fury character.

There was an idea,” Jackson says in the latest Incredibles 2 promo clip, “to bring together a group of remarkable people. To see if we could become something more.”

The next scene itself shows Jackson standing in front of the Incredibles logo instead, as Mr. Incredible himself, Craig T. Nelson, gently reminds him that the actor is thinking of the wrong film and that he is meant to be promoting the other superhero movie he’s working on.

All in all, the teaser does a great job promoting Incredibles 2 by playing off Avengers: Infinity War’s popularity. You can check out the trailer below.

The Incredibles 2 story will pick up immediately after the original 2004 film. It will revolve around the super-powered Parr family including dad Bob, mom Helen, and kids Violet, Dash and baby Jack-Jack. What’s interesting is that this time Helen will take up her superhero job to save the world. Her husband Bob, who lost his job as an insurance agent in the first film, will stay at home taking care of the three kids especially the youngest member of the Parr family, Jack-Jack, trying to develop his superpowers in the upcoming film.

Written and directed by Brad Bird,  Incredibles 2 will premiere in theatres on June 15.
