India reacts to The Gray Man: Dhanush’s Avik San fighting Ryan Gosling’s Court Gentry & Ana de Armas’ Agent Dani

The Russo Brothers are doing their part in promoting The Gray Man, particularly to the Indian fanbase with this new clip of Dhanush as assassin Avik San. The scene shows a 2-on-1 fight scene with Avik facing off Ryan Gosling’s Sierra Six and Ana de Armas’ Agent Dani Miranda.

The Gray Man is all set to hit big screens this week so Netflix and the director duo’s production company AGBO are ramping up marketing for its nearing premiere since receiving good critical reception. In addition, Dhanush has become the center of attraction after Monday’s Q&A post the press screening. So what better to offer fans than a new clip of the Indian star’s character engaged in hand-to-hand combat and completely overpowering both trained fighters? Readers can check it out below.

The first trailer had only offered a brief shot of The Gray Man star Dhanush in a dapper suit with an eerie stare. While it piqued fans’ curiosity, it also raised questions if his role has a prominent presence and screen time. Though it’s likely Avik’s appearance would be brief, the new clip has only piled on audiences’ excitement to see Dhanush, with even Kollywood directors Karthik Subbaraj, Venkat Prabhu and others from the industry offering their support.

Avik San is on the same mission as Lloyd in The Gray Man – to hunt Gentry. He’s among the list of assassins and spies targeting the ex-CIA killing machine. While Evans and Gosling’s characters are pulled out of Mark Greaney’s novel, Avik was written originally by the directors for Dhanush. And critics are already raving about his performance in early reactions.

Helmed from a script penned by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely along with Joe Ruso, The Gray Man also stars Rege-Jean Page, Julia Butters, Jessica Henwick, Billy Bob Thornton and Wagner Moura, Alfre Woodard.
