Earlier last weekend, Comic-con India indeed managed to make it the best weekend of the year for Bengaloreans. The two day Bangalore Comic-con 2018 event opened on November 17 to much fanfare attracting a large crowd.
As usual, the Bangalore Comic-con 2018 event was lit thanks to cosplayers who were crowded by a wild audience that were excited to see their favorite fictional characters. PursueNews was present at the event and also made a cosplay music video to present a glimpse of what went down in the 2-day event to our readers.
The growing Pop Culture event continues to surprise its attendees with an action-packed event. Moreover, many attendees crowded the DC’s Aquaman & Marvel’s Captain Marvel experiential zone.
Warner Bros. had life-sized statues of Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry and Amber Heard’s Mera at their experimental zone. Whereas, Marvel studios’ had life-sized statues of Thor, The Hulk and of Iron Man’s bleeding edge armor.
Potterhead fans also had something to be excited about as Warner Bros. had an experimental zone for their upcoming Fantastic Beasts 2 movie.
Sony was also present at the event with their own stall to promote their upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie. A few Cosplayers were spotted at the stall donning their version of Miles Morales’s Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy’s costume.
The international guests and Indian artists present at the event also managed to keep the crowd livened up. Many attendees were also crowding up over artists such as Glenn Rane, the artist behind some of the iconic character designs & artwork for Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo among others. He was also was present at the Arena to talk about his work, life, and Blizzard Entertainment.
Image Comics’ arrival in India was also met with a good reception.
In honor of Stan Lee, A special event, titled ‘Remembering Stan Lee’ was hosted at the Arena in honor of the pop culture icon who left an indelible mark on the world of comic books. The discussion saw international artists Vanessa R Del Ray, Ryan O’sullivan, Glenn, Dan Watters, Abhijeet Kini and Ram V sharing their memories of Stan Lee.
