India’s Bengaluru Comic-Con 2023 to feature Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom & Willy Wonka experience, here’s what to expect from the 3-day Pop Culture celebration

Bengaluru Comic-Con 2023 is all set to deliver a spectacular entertainment-filled Pop Culture celebration for DC, Marvel and anime fans and that includes experiencing the first look at the world of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom through life-size statues to Marvel freebies like an exclusive Spider-Man India comic book. Here’s what attendees should expect from this Crunchyroll-powered event scheduled for November 17th.

Comic-Con India’s 11th edition of the best weekend of the year in Bengaluru will be a 3-day extravaganza. The event as usual will also house the largest comic book store by Penguin Random House India. So attendees can look forward to browsing through titles from Marvel, DC Dark Horse, IDW Image, Kodansha and many more.

Warner Bros. India is again participating in the event but Disney’s Marvel Studios appears to be a no-show. DC Studios, a subsidiary of WBD will present their eye catchy experience zones for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and Willy Wonka. Last year, Shazam! Fury of the Gods was in the spotlight alongside life-size statues of the Justice League & Black Adam.

Attendees purchasing the single-day pass will also be presented with a bag of goodies that includes a DC Comics poster. Fans of Spider-Verse 2, especially the Pavitr Prabhakar supporters will be delighted to learn that every attendee of Bengaluru Comic-Con will receive an exclusive copy of Spider-Man India issue 1 – in an exclusive tie-up with Marvel comics.

Aside from the surprises in store from the stalls at Bengaluru Comic-Con, the event is expected to attract the city’s most talented cosplayers. Speaking of which, International Pro-Cosplayer Brittani Ginoza will be gracing the event. In addition, Comic-Con India will also host exclusive panel discussions by Amar Chitra Katha, Raj Comics and Kodansha, a popular Japanese publisher to name a few.

Archies Comics artist Dan Parent is also confirmed for Bengaluru Comic-Con. Parent shared a video on X talking about his participation, “We’ll be talking about the Archies movie that’s coming up on Netflix,” he says while also assuring he’ll be signing copies of his Archies in India prints and trades, in celebration of the upcoming movie starring Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor and Suhana Khan.

The 3-day celebration will span between 17th to 19th November at KTPO Trade Centre, Whitefield, Bengaluru.
