IT Chapter 2 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated horror films. After the first It film performed exceptionally well at the box office raking in more than $700 million worldwide, expectations for the sequel has increased manifold. Recent on-set video clip and pictures have confirmed that movie is currently in production in Port Hope, Ontario.
IT Chapter 2 will feature both young as well as the adult version of the Losers Club members. The film’s story will pick up 27 years after the first film. While the upcoming film will prominently feature adult Losers Club members, there will also be some flashback scenes with the original teenage cast including Jack Dylan Grazer, Sophia Lillis, Jaeden Lieberher, Wyatt Oleff, Finn Wolfhard, Jeremy Ray Taylor and Chosen Jacobs.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly at San Diego Comic-Con last month, actor Jack Dylan Grazer teased IT Chapter 2 saying its script is “very good”. Grazer will be seen reprising the role of young Eddie Kaspbrak in the sequel film.
“I haven’t shot anything yet, I just went for the table read, and I can assure you it’s a very good script. Very good,” Grazer said. “IT 2 is a touchy subject because I can’t say a lot of things.”
The Shazam! actor also talked about his experience of meeting with James Ransoe, who is playing the adult version of Eddie.
“When I first go to Toronto for the table read, we went out to lunch, all of us, and the acting coach from the original IT, the one we shot in 2017, came up to us and said, ‘Hey, I have an idea, you guys should do like a speed dating thing and just talk to your adult versions,’ so we did, but we didn’t really talk to every adult, just our own adult version, and I learned a lot about James,” Grazer said.
Grazer has another big film in his kitty, which is Warner Bros. and DC Films’ Shazam!. He is playing the role of Billy Batson’s foster brother, Freddy Freeman.
Shazam! will hit theaters on April 5, 2019, while IT Chapter 2 will debut on Sept. 6, 2019.
