The highly anticipated IT Chapter 2 is well into production and is filming in Ontario, Canada. Last week, actress Jessica Chastain, who will be seen portraying the adult incarnation of Beverly Marsh, announced on her Instagram story that she has wrapped up filming for her character.
In a new IT: Chapter 2 BTS photo posted by director Andy Muschietti, Chastain can be seen soaked up in fake blood. In the picture, Chastain, who has fake blood spilled all over her head, is giving quite a big uncomfortable hug to Muschietti.
“Ch-ch-ch-ch chastain, and face the strange, she’s soooo happy when she can smear her fake blood on me,” the IT: Chapter 2 director captioned the picture.

Actor Bill Skarsgard will reprise the iconic Pennywise, in IT Chapter 2. Recently, fans got a glimpse of the Dancing Clown bringing a scene from Stephen King’s iconic novel to life for the big screen in latest set photos. The set photo shows Skarsgård as Pennywise sitting on the shoulder of a Paul Bunyan statue, the notoriously huge lumberjack featured in North American tall tales, at Port Hope’s Memorial Park.
The scene is taken from Stephen King’s original IT novel in which Richie Tozier encounters the infamous creature in the form of a giant Paul Bunyan statue. It remains unclear if the makers will take on the scene exactly as it is depicted in the book, or if they are going to tweak it.
IT Chapter 2 story will take place 27 years after the first movie. It will feature the grown-up Losers Club members as they meet once again to take on Pennywise. The film stars Jessica Chastain (Beverly Marsh), James McAvoy (Bill Denbrough), Bill Hader (Richie Tozier), Jay Ryan (Ben Hanscom), Andy Bean (Stanley Uris), James Ransone (Eddie Kaspbrak), and Isaiah Mustafa (Mike Hanlon) in the lead roles.
The upcoming film will also feature some flashback scenes with the original teenage cast including Jack Dylan Grazer, Sophia Lillis, Jaeden Lieberher, Wyatt Oleff, Finn Wolfhard, Jeremy Ray Taylor and Chosen Jacobs.
IT Chapter 2 will arrive in theaters on September 6, 2019.
