2017’s IT turned out to be a smash hit raking in over $700million worldwide as well as reestablishing the horror genre’s place in pop culture. So definitely, expectations for the sequel is very high.

Based on the second part of Stephen King’s 1986 novel of the same name, IT Chapter 2 will pick up 27 years after the first film. While in the first film, the kids successfully defeated Pennywise (Bill Skarsgard), the sequel will once again create situations that will force the all grown up Losers Club members to reunite again and return back to Derry to fight the monster.

Notably, the original young cast from the first film including Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Finn Wolfhard,  Jeremy Ray Taylor and Chosen Jacobs is also expected to show up in the sequel for a couple of flashback scenes. Andy Muschietti is directing IT Chapter 2 from a script by Gary Dauberman.

IT Chapter Two is set to be released on Sept. 6, 2019.

Do you think the sequel film will be as successful as the first IT film? Let us know in the comments below.
