James Gunn Shares Script Update On Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 In New Photo

It seems director James Gunn is finally done with the first script draft of the highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Notably, Gunn also has the credit of writing and directing the first two Guardians of the Galaxy films. He has already confirmed that the upcoming film will wrap up his Guardians trilogy saga.

The director recently took to Twitter to share a picture of the first script draft of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The picture was accompanied by an emotional caption depicting how Gunn is emotionally attached to the upcoming film as well as the trilogy on which he has invested quite a lot of years of his life.

Every bit of my heart,” Gunn wrote. You can check out the picture below.

Although almost all the Guardians except Rocket and Nebula withered away after Thanos’ snap at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, the team will reunite once again for the last film in their own series. This is probably going to be the last time that fans will see their favorite Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, Groot, Mantis, and Nebula together as their journey will finally come to end with Vol. 3.

While there were rumors that 2020’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 might be set before the event of Avengers: Infinity War, Gunn has finally clarified that the upcoming film will indeed be set after Infinity War. So, this means all the Guardians who disappeared into dust at the end of the Marvel film will be back from the dead in Avengers 4. The question which still remains unanswered is if the resurrection will be limited to those Guardians who disappeared post-Snap or if it will also include Gamora who was sacrificed by Thanos to get the Soul Stone.

Marvel head Kevin Feige recently confirmed to Collider that pre-production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to begin soon and the filming will begin next year.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently set to roll out in theaters in 2020.
