Jessica Jones Season 2 is ready to be released on Netflix on March 8. Fans have waited long enough to find out what is next for their favorite detective. Meanwhile, the network has released few photos giving a good look at what to expect. It seems Jessica is in a new problem already.
The new photos show Krysten Ritter in her role as Jessica Jones, the former superhero, and New York City’s private investigator. Meanwhile, the photos also give a glimpse at the other cast members reprising their roles for the highly anticipated season. The shots show Jessica in action, Trish Walker, and Jeryn Hogarth. More pictures feature the other supporting cast members including Malcolm.
Another photo features Jessica in prison. This time, she will be dealing with the law of New York City. While the story behind the picture remains unknown, it is certain that Jessica will be in trouble when the show returns.
As per the synopsis, Jessica’s reputation in the city is quite a lethal one. After killing her tormentor, she is known as a super-powered killer. Meanwhile, she will be working on a case that will compel her to look into her own backstory. She will be searching for answers from her past and the origin of her superpowers.
“New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why,” reads the official synopsis for Jessica Jones Season 2 premiere.
The upcoming season will largely focus on Jessica Jones’ past. In an interview with Empire, showrunner Melissa Rosenberg made the big revelation.
“We’re always digging deeper into Jessica’s character and this season we’re peeling back even more layers, revealing more about the experiences that have shaped her present-day life,” Rosenberg told the abovementioned publication.
