As the highly anticipated John Wick: Chapter 3 has already entered the production stage, a number of on-set pictures have started making rounds on the internet. Hollywood Pipeline has got its hands on a couple of John Wick 3 set pictures that show Laurence Fishburne engaged in a sword fight with martial art expert actor Mark Dacascos.
The scene in question was being filmed in the rain on a building rooftop in Brooklyn. The pictures show Dacascos, who is portraying the character of an assassin named Zero in John Wick 3, hitting Fishburne aka Morpheus/ the Bowery King multiple times using a sword. John Wick: Chapter 3 is expected to be the last installment of Lionsgate’s John Wick franchise. The story of the sequel film picks up after Chapter 2. In the upcoming film, Reeves, the titular super-assassin, will be on the run for two reasons. The first being the $14 million price tag on his head and the second reason for killing a member of the High Table whose army of bounty-hunting killers are trailing behind him.
Talking about the star cast of the film, it has recently come to light that Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry is joining Keanu Reeves in John Wick 3 as Sofia. Details about Berry’s character in the film are yet to be announced. Also making it to the list are Anjelica Houston, Asia Kate Dillon, Mark Dacascos Jason Mantzoukas, Tiger Hu Chen, Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman.
Along with Reeves, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Laurence Fishbourne are all going to reprise their roles for Chapter 3, with Chad Stahelski returning to helm the film. The film has already begun principal photography in New York where its new working title was also confirmed to be Parabellum. It is expected to move production to Morocco later this year.
John Wick: Chapter 3 is set to premiere in theatres on May 17, 2019.
