Since then, there haven’t been many updates regarding the project which is based on the ride of the same name from Disney’s theme park. but a few casting calls we spotted for the movie gives an idea of the type of setting fans can expect to see.
Three casting calls from Backstage reveals that the Jungle Cruise film crew will be shooting tomorrow, July 6, in Atlanta. For the shoot, they are in seek of male and female extras that are Caucasian between the age of 25-80 to portray a role that’s termed as “1920’s Society Types”.
“Men must be in jacket size range 38 to 48, women must be dress sizes 0 to 14,” reads the description. It is possible that these extras may be part of the German expedition carried out by a baddie in search of the healing tree.
The second casting call is searching for extras to portray as “1920’s Female Pedestrians”. Women between the age of 18-55 and Caucasian can apply for the role.
“Dress sizes 0 to 14, must be willing to remove modern day hair and nail enhancements,” reads the role’s description. The filming will take place on July 10-11 in the same location as mentioned above.
The lasting casting call requires background actors to portray as “British Military Recruits”. Men between the age of 18-30 and who are Caucasian are eligible to apply for the role.
“Jacket size 38-44, clean shaven, must be willing to have short hair,” reads the description. Shooting will take place on the same day as above’s casting call states. Readers can head over to the website to know details regarding the compensations.
Jungle Cruise stars Dwayne Johnson as the lead and he will be playing the role of a boat captain. His character is rumored to be named Frank Francisco. Emily Blunt is supposedly playing a character named Lily Houghton. She is a scientist and will be joining Johnson’s character on the expedition to find the healing tree. Actor Jack Whitehall is playing as Blunt’s character’s brother.
For those unaware, Jungle Cruise movie is set in the 1920s which explains the need for extras to look like the people of that timeline.
