A new trailer has surfaced online for the upcoming Jurassic World 2 and it will probably go down as one of the best trailers with an ad placement. The trailer shows an Amazon Prime delivery staff checking out the delivery cartons when he comes across a huge carton which seems to be nothing but trouble.
The package set out for delivery seems to contain an Apex predator as its roar suggests. Moreover, it could likely be none other than the T-rex but we don’t get to see it visually. The person runs away when he realizes that there’s something dangerous in the carton.
The 43 seconds long Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer teases in style that the big, dangerous carton will arrive in Los Angeles on May 30. You can check out the trailer below.
It is not yet confirmed if the trailer features actual footage from the upcoming Jurassic World 2 or if it is just an Amazon Prime advertisement made in collaboration with the filmmakers to promote Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom as well as Amazon.
Notably, it is pretty common for big-budget films to collaborate with companies as part of their marketing and promotional campaigns. Even Marvel collaborated with mortgage loan company, Quicken Loans, to release a television commercial ad which was a mix of actual Avengers: Infinity War footage and the advertisement.
Disney-Pixar recently teamed up with security company ADT to roll out an animated ad that promotes Incredibles 2 as well as the company’s home security systems including the water sensor, motion sensor, intrusion, carbon monoxide, and smoke detection sensors. Warner Bros. also teamed up with Gillette to promote the 2017 released Justice League.
Directed by Spanish filmmaker Juan Antonia Bayona (J.A. Bayona), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will focus on Chris Pratt’s Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire Dearing who will head on a dinosaur rescue mission to the Jurassic Park and World site, Isla Nublar, which is in the danger of getting destroyed by an impending volcanic eruption.
The filmmakers also recently released a new IMAX poster for Jurassic World 2. The poster features T-rex, Rexy, from the original Jurassic Park, pulling a helicopter out of the sky while trying to catch its prey.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will open in theatres on June 7, 2018.
