As Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is just more than a month away from its official June 22 release date, the filmmakers have decided to roll out weekly video journals featuring star interviews as well as some exciting behind the scenes clips and pictures.
Titled Jurassic Journals, the new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom YouTube series will be hosted by Chris Pratt. He will be seen taking interviews with other cast and crew members about their experiences of working on the movie.
Universal Pictures has already released two episodes of Jurassic Journals on their official YouTube channel. Future episodes of the Jurassic Journals series will be released every Thursday until Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom‘s June release.
The first episode shows Chris Pratt interviewing actors Daniella Pineda (Zia Rodriguez) and Justice Smith (Franklin Webb). Pratt can be seen discussing with Pineda and Smith about their memories of the first Jurassic Park movie.
In the second episode, the actor can be seen chatting with make-up artist Vivian Baker who reveals that she uses makeup to show dirt and mud on Pratt’s face instead of using real dirt and mud. Baker reveals that make-up has an added advantage of being water-proof and sweat-resistant. You can check out the two Jurassic Journals videos below.
Earlier last month, the studio had also released the final trailer for the movie. Scenes from the trailer hinted at the ultimate showdown between Blue and Indoraptor.
Talking more about the upcoming film, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom story focuses on Chris Pratt’s raptor trainer, Owen Grady, and Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire Dearing who go on their dinosaur rescue mission to the Jurassic Park and World site, Isla Nublar, which is about to get destroyed by an impending volcanic eruption.
Directed by Spanish filmmaker Juan Antonia Bayona (J.A. Bayona), the film star cast also includes Ted Levine, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Daniella Pineda, and Geraldine Chaplin. Jeff Goldblum will also be seen reprising his legendary character of Dr. Ian Malcolm. The movie has been co-written by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall, Belén Atienza, and Pat Crowley are producing the film.
