DCEU’s Justice League is all set to rock the box office later this month and the studio is busy promoting the movie and doing global press tour. Warner Bros. already released seven scenes from Justice League over the weekend, with one more being premiered this morning when Diane Lane appeared on Today Show to talk about the film.
Diane Lane, who joined hosts Kathie Lee and Hoda Kotb in Today Show said that she has watched Justice League and is very pleased with how it has come out. The new scene was shown before the interview began and featured her along with Amy Adams. The short clip features Diana Lane (essaying the role of Martha Kent) discussing her financial troubles with Lois Lane, played by Amy Adams.
While revealing that she has already watched Justice League, Lane added that there were lots of surprises in store along with some great acting. She said: “I’m charmed, I’m thrilled. I just saw the movie and I’m very psyched, I’m very pleased. Lots of surprises and some fabulous acting from everybody. I mean, I was totally impressed.”
Lane drew some criticisms when news came out earlier this year that she had remarked about Justice League not being as good as the MCU’s Avengers movies. Lane’s representative later clarified her comments saying that the actress was reluctant to reveal any spoilers and that was misinterpreted as her believing that the film wouldn’t be good enough, which actually was not the case. However, all that can be forgotten now as Diane Lane has said clearly that she was very impressed with DCEU’s upcoming film that teams up all the superheroes.
Diane Lane first played her parent character in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, released in 2013. She appeared as Martha Kent and was paired opposite Kevin Costner who reprised the role of Jonathan Kent. She later returned to play the same character in 2016 film, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Fans will now get to see her once again as Clark Kent’s mother when Justice League hits the theater on November 17.
Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Momoa as Aquaman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Amber Heard as Mera, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, J.K. Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, and Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta.
