Zack Snyder may have stepped away from Justice League due to his family tragedy, but that hasn’t stopped the director from showing his support for the film on social media.
Earlier today, the director shared a behind-the-scene photo from Justice League. The image features Jason Momoa as Aquaman posing shirtless for the camera.
Snyder shared the photo on his social media account in Vero. “Last shot of Jason in Iceland,” wrote the director. Fans can check it out below.
A report released last year revealed that Justice League filming would also undergo in the Westfjords Iceland. The production took place from October to November.
Several Icelandic actors also got the opportunity to play minor roles in the DC film. It was later revealed that Snyder was filming Aquaman scenes in the location.
Fans may have noticed some of the scenes shot in Iceland in the Justice League promo trailers. Going by Snyder’s description in the photo, the below photo was the last scene Jason Momoa filmed in Iceland.
Earlier, Snyder also shared a BTS from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to wish Ben Affleck on the day of his birthday. The image revealed the Dark Knight in his Knightmare version costume.
Justice League hits theatres on November 17th, 2017. The film will be Momoa’s second appearance as Aquaman in a DC Film. Earlier in Batman v Superman, the Atlantian superhero made his debut by making a very brief cameo.
Since Snyder took his exit from the project, the film’s additional photography has been carried out by Joss Whedon. It is currently unknown if whether the Avengers director would also screen credit for his part of the contribution to the film.
