The hype for Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 continues as the film’s cast members share their thrilling experience filming their characters for the final two titles in MCU’s phase 3. Recently, we got to hear more about it from actress Karen Gillan.
During an interview with Collider, the interviewer brought up the question about Sebastian Stan’s experience filming Avengers 4. The Winter Soldier actor had said that the shoot was “chaotic, but fun”. Gillian was, in turn, asked if she found that to be a “fair description.” Here’s what she had to say:
“I don’t know how chaotic it is. It’s just an extremely long shoot with so many characters. Logistically, it must be a challenge for them to schedule it. I guess that’s where the chaos comes from. But, it’s so much fun. In terms of atmosphere on set, it’s one of the best I’ve ever experienced. Everybody is just having a really good time, at least of what I’ve seen. They’ve set a really nice tone for the environment, so I’m having a good time.”
After Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War would be the largest ensemble the world will get to witness. It’s understandable that the experience could be chaotic fun and even be overwhelming for the cast themselves. As Gillian pointed out, the main challenge would be “scheduling”. It would have been challenging for actors like Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly who were filming Ant-Man and The Wasp in Atlanta while Avengers 4 shooting was also taking place.
Fans already got a glimpse of how chaotic (in a good way) and fun Avengers: Infinity War could be from the recent trailer. But going by the set photos from the currently filming fourth installment, it looks like the final movie of phase 3 has a lot of unexpected twists and turns.
Avengers 4 is set to hit theatres on May 3, 2019. Next year, fans will get to see the threequel, Infinity War which releases on May 4, 2018.
