Keiynan Lonsdale has bid his goodbye to the Arrowverse. Last week, the actor who plays the role of Wally West, also known as Kid Flash, announced his exit from The CW’s The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. The fan-favorite character will not be returning as series regular in either of the series for next season. Now, the actor is hoping that fans aren’t too sad about his unexpected departure from the shows.
Lonsdale made the big reveal four days ago on his official Instagram account. He shared the news with his thousands of fans. However, he ensured his fans that it is not “see ya never situation.”
“It’s just that it won’t be full time anymore,” the actor wrote on his Instagram post. Scroll down to view his post.
Meanwhile, during his appearance at Oz Comic-Con in Melbourne, the actor talked about his decision ensuring his fans are not too disappointed with the exit.
“I’m not coming back full-time, but I’ll still be like in the DC universe, just not like, I won’t be filming ten months of the year every year,” Lonsdale said as quoted by Comicbook. “It got announced and then I was like, I’ve got to make sure that people know it was my decision so that no one got too angry. I hope that everyone’s not too sad about missing Wally.”
Earlier this year, Lonsdale exited The Flash and joined Legends of Tomorrow as a series regular, becoming an official member of the team. He made his first appearance as a series regular on Legends on Feb. 19 episode.
As for his Arrowverse debut, Lonsdale debuted as Wally West in the second season of The Flash in an episode titled “Running To Stand Still.”
The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow are currently not airing. The CW series’ is scheduled to return this Fall. Meanwhile, fans can expect to see Lonsdale as Wally West for another adventure before he says his final goodbye. Keep visiting Pursue News for more updates and information.
