Krypton New Teaser Shares A Glimpse Of House of Zod’s Ruthlessness

SyFy has dropped another trailer for David S. Goyer and Damian Kindler’s Krypton. The newest teaser shifts its focus a bit and gives a glimpse at the House of Zod, the ancestors of Superman’s iconic villain General Zod.

The trailer introducers Georgina Campbell as Lyta Zod and Ann Ogbomo as Alura Zod. Alura is Lyta’s mother and the two ladies are caught up in a combat. In the clip, Alura is training Lyta to become a fearless warrior as the family continues the legacy of being the leader of Kryptonian Military Guild.

We never ask for mercy. And we never give it,” Alura is heard saying in the clip as she trains Lyta. “Kneel before the House of Zod.”

As revealed earlier, Krypton is set two generations before the birth of the most famous superheroes of all time. The show focuses on the story of House of El and their struggles during their difficult times. Cameron Cuffe plays the role of Seg-El, Superman’s grandfather who fights to redeem the honor of his family.

The previous trailer and photos give a good look at the gritty world of House of El and it appears Superman’s family will be the prime focus of the series. However, the latest trailer suggests that the show will explore the history of other families on Krypton as well.

The show is set in Kandor, the capital city of Krypton. Meanwhile, Shaun Sipos will portray the role of time traveler Adam Strange, who will be working towards preventing the birth of Superman in the future.

Jayna and Lyta Zod — Jayna is currently running House Zod, the military guild on Krypton,” Goyer said in an interview with Rotten Tomatoes. “Lyta Zod is her daughter, who’s been tapped to follow in her footsteps. But she has an illicit romance going on with Seg. Val-El is Seg’s grandfather, and I suppose he’s more like Jor-El. He’s executed at the beginning of the pilot, although he’s still in the show,” Goyer added as he sheds light on the relationship between House of El and House of Zod.

SyFy’s Krypton premiere March 21. More updates and information is expected soon. So, stay tuned to Pursue News.
