Legends of Tomorrow: Kid Flash Is An Official Member of Waverider Crew, Photo Revealed

Keiynan Lonsdale’s Kid Flash, also known as Wally West, is joining DC’s Legends of Tomorrow as a series regular. The speedster will be an official member of the team. Nick Zano revealed the character’s first photo from the sets of Legends.

Zano, who plays the role of Dr. Nate Heywood, also known as Steel, on the Legends of Tomorrow, shared Kid Flash’s photo on his official Instagram account confirming him as an official member of the team. In the photo, Lonsdale in his Kid Flash costume is standing next to Maisie Richardson-Sellers, who plays the role of Amaya Jiwe, also known as Vixen.

“It’s about to go 👇… #kidflash is an official member #LegendsOfTomorrow … @keiynanlonsdale @maisiersellers,” reads the caption.

It was recently revealed by Entertainment Weekly that Wally West will first show up in Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 episode 11 airing on Feb. 19. He will eventually be declared as the official member in episode 13.

As reported previously, Wally West will be filling in for one of the two vacancies after the death of Stein and his other half, Jefferson Jax.

Fans will remember that Wally was introduced as a cast member of The Flash Season 2. He has assisted Team Flash in several endeavors to fight crime in Central City. However, he has largely been absent during Season 4 of The Flash.

“We loved working with Keiynan in our series premiere — the episode in which we learned that in between seasons 2 and 3 he had been fighting crime in Central City with Nick Zano’s Nate Heywood. So when his character stepped away from Flash to go on walkabout, after being dumped and feeling somewhat estranged from his family and team, we knew that Wally West would fit in perfectly on Legends,” said Legends’ executive producer Phil Klemmer in a statement as quoted by EW. “After all, our show is about a collection of unlikely heroes who all began their journeys questioning who they are and where they belong — only to find those answers while traveling through time and having wacky adventures. So now, Wally West is not only back in the company of old friends from the Arrowverse, he’s fighting alongside a former enemy and career arsonist Mick Rory/Dom Purcell. By the end of this season, Wally will learn that the Legends have a different definition of what it means to be a hero.”

Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 resumes its run on Feb. 12 on The CW. Keep visiting Pursue News for more updates and information.
