Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 episode 12 will see the Legends time travel to the year 1717. By the look of it, we can say fans will be treated to a pirate adventure.
The CW has released a set of photos wherein the Legends become pirates in their quest for Earth totem. The episode is titled “The Curse of the Earth Totem” and it is said to be a reference to the first movie “The Curse of the Black Pearl” in the Pirates of the Caribbean Franchise.
Earth Totem is one of the five other mystical Zambesi totems and it is still lost. The Vixen owns the Anasi Totem, Zari Tomez is the bearer of Air Totem and Water Totem is associated with Kuasa. As for the Fire and Earth Totem, their locations remain unknown. General Benatu Eshu was the wielder of the Fire Totem as revealed in the animated series Vixen.
The Earth Totem allows the user to control and use the power of earth. Fans will remember the mention of it in the previously aired episode “Daddy Darhkest.” Comicbook is speculating that their quest for Earth Totem could hold a key to defeat their season 3 villains Kuasa, Damien Darhk and Gorilla Grodd.
Meanwhile, the synopsis for the much-awaited episode is out. It reveals that the Legends will undertake the new adventure when Sara will be away. They will find themselves in the 18th century where they will look for a long-lost treasure. Things will take an unexpected turn as the adventure begins. Elsewhere, Ray will find himself deep in trouble after his attempts to rectify a mistake fail.
“When Sara (Caity Lotz) decides to take some private time, the Legends pursue a lead on the whereabouts of the long-lost Earth Totem. Without Sara’s knowledge, the Legends find themselves in 1717 to hunt for Blackbeard’s long-lost treasure, but in true Legends fashion things go awry. Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) feels guilty about something he has done and tries to make amends, which lands him in even bigger trouble,” reads the official synopsis for Legends of Tomorrow season 3 episode 12 titled“The Curse of the Earth Totem.”
