It appears Deadpool 3 is also jumping on the multiversal variants bandwagon to introduce multiple versions of the merch with a mouth. So Marvel fans already have a list of variants they’d like to see in the third installment which includes the likes of Lady Deadpool a.k.a Wanda Wilson, Gwenpool as well as the inclusion of K-pop stars, Stray Kids’ Bang Chan and Felix.

Marvel Studios’ plans to explore a time-travel plot with the long-anticipated Deadpool 3 was evident ever since Ryan Reynolds announced Hugh Jackman‘s return as Wolverine. It was all but confirmed when Loki‘s Miss Minutes teased a potential TVA connection to the third installment in November 2022.

Since then, scoopers have indicated that Deadpool 3 would involve X-Man characters other than Logan as well. If that wasn’t enough to feel the movie could be overcrowded – insider CanWeGetSomeToast revealed earlier on Tuesday that “there aren’t JUST 2 Deadpools, there are MORE” indicating that the Deadpool Corps storyline from Marvel comics could be adapted.

CWGST also claimed there would be two versions of Wolverine, which many believe could be the 2017’s Logan variant and a younger Wolverine from the Origins movie. In fact, Jackman’s stunt double Daniel Stevens also shared a still featuring two styles of beard, “Two weeks in a row with a slight makeover” suggesting fans’ speculation could pan out.

The news of Deadpool 3 potentially introducing Merc with a Mouth from alternate universes has fans petitioning their favorite iterations they hope to see – with a majority calling for Gwenpool’s debut. Others are hoping for Wanda Wilson’s Lady Deadpool if MCU is considering the introduction of Female Deadpool variants.

A few other Deadpool Corps members that MCU fans are campaigning to be introduced in Deadpool 3 are Headpool, Pandapool and Fortnite’s Cuddlepool. Similar to Spider-Man: No Way Home, many fans are requesting Marvel to show variants portrayed by different stars. Speaking of, the K-pop community also has a plea of their own – to see Stray Kids’ Bang Chan and Felix don the Wade Wilson persona.

The Stray Kids’ Felix paid homage to Deadpool by performing the opening scene from the first movie for their performance in 2021’s Kingdom Legendary War. The act was even noticed by Reynolds which led to a wholesome friendship between the actor and Bang Chan. Maybe it’s not too far-fetched to expect Ryan to include the K-pop stars, especially since he declared he was a fan of Stray Kids.

While the discussion of superhero fatigue has gone back and forth, some fans feel it’s perhaps time to address if a multiverse saga fatigue may be on the horizon. The failure of The Flash movie at the box office could be an indication that MCU’s multiverse plot projects have so far sailed well with Ant-man 3 being an exception.

Deadpool 3 is reportedly expected to include X-Men’s Storm (Halle Berry), Jean Grey (Famke Janssen), Cyclops (James Marsden), Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) and Magneto (Ian McKellen) too. The threequel is currently filming in London with a release date scheduled for May 4, 2024 – a push-up from its earlier date of November 8, 2024.
