The Cinematic Universe (MCU) has not revealed any plans to start with their fourth installment of the franchise. However, Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Watiti threw in an interesting and hilarious idea about the opening scene for Thor 4 if ever they plan to go ahead.

The reviews for the threequel are awesome, with critics terming the film as visually stunning, hilarious, and bold. While Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok has taken the box office by storm and is busy minting money, people have begun speculating on the possibility of an extension.

Thor: Ragnarok is the most successful of all the previous Thor Franchises. When Taika Watiti was asked by CinemaBlend if it were possible to bring the two Jurassic Park actors Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill (They were featured in Thor: Ragnarok) into the next Thor film, Taika Watiti seemed intrigued and teased a possible opening scene sequence. He teased, “I would have loved that. I don’t think they were around at the same time. That would have been amazing just to somehow make that work. It would be awesome if we somehow got Laura Dern in there, as well… Thor 4, exactly. All of them go back and do the play again. It’s a new play about Asgard’s destruction. That might be a great way to start that film.”

Dern, meanwhile is expected to essay the role of Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. As for Sam Neill, he just did a cameo in the just released Ragnarok as the Asgardian who played Odin. As far as Jeff Goldblum is concerned, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has plans to pair him with Benicio del Toro’s Collector since the characters are brothers in both the comics and the cinematic versions.

Thor: Ragnarok’s ’s collections are increasing by the day. In fact it helped The Marvel Cinematic Universe cross the $5 billion mark domestically in the opening week itself.

Thor: Ragnarok has released across the globe, and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, with Mark Ruffalo, and Anthony Hopkins.
