Lost TV Series Music Composer Interested In Scoring ‘The Batman’

Lost TV Series Music Composer Interested In Scoring ‘The Batman’

It looks like Warner Bros. might sign on another Oscar winner to be part of The Batman project. Recently at the premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Arris Quinones from Variant Comics spoke to Michael Giacchino if he would be interested in scoring for the standalone film.

Fortunately, Giacchino seems interested and excited to compose for Ben Affleck’s DC reboot film. Moreover, the music composer is also a fan of the Dark Knight.

“Yeah, it depends on who’s making it and who’s involved, but yeah I would love to. I love Batman,” said Giacchino. Fans can check it out in the video below at 6:21.

Giacchino also stressed that his decision would be based on the people that are “involved” in the project. Fortunately, the composer and The Batman director Matt Reeves have worked along on earlier Hollywood movies.

Recently, Giacchino and Reeves worked together on War for the Planet of the Apes. Furthermore, the music composer has scored for fictional movies in the past.

Earlier, Giacchino scored for Marvel’s Doctor Strange and Disney’s Rogue One. In addition, he is also worked on the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming as well.

For those unaware, Giacchino won an Oscar in 2010 for Up animated movie. He was also nominated in 2008 for his original score in Ratatouille. He is also known in the soap opera world as well for scoring LOST series.

The Batman script recently went through a complete rewrite and has Matt Reeves as the new director after Ben Affleck backed out of the project to remain as main cast and executive producer. Currently, the film does not have a set date to begin its production.  While there were some rumors on the DCEU project, it was soon shattered to be false info.
