Ever since MCU fans witnessed Andrew Garfield as the Amazing Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the campaign to see the star complete his trilogy continues to grow larger on social media. Now, the hashtag “MakeTASM3” (The Amazing Spider-Man 3), a term that’s popped up on Twitter trends lately has gained traction again. Why? well, the Tick Tick Boom actor has revealed if he’d be interested in reprising the role again.
Garfield’s recent performance as the Spider-Man has certainly cleaned up the stains caused by The Amazing Spider-Man 2. So much that fans are hoping to see the once-planned threequel that would have set up the Sinister Six. Fortunately, in a post No Way Home world, TASM iteration of the friendly neighborhood superhero can exist alongside Tom Holland’s Spidey.
Speaking to Variety about his involvement in Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios’ third Spider-Man film, Garfield was asked if the film was sort of redemption for his version of the Marvel hero. While the actor did agree he ” got to tie up some loose ends for the Peter that I was playing.” he also had this to say when asked if he’s open to returning.
“I mean, yes, definitely open to something if it felt right. Peter and Spider-Man, those characters are all about service, to the greater good and the many. He’s a working-class boy from Queens that knows struggle and loss and is deeply empathetic. I would try to borrow Peter Parker’s ethical framework in that, if there was an opportunity to step back in and tell more of that story, I would have to feel very sure and certain in myself.”
His response has already set Twitter up in flames with fans throwing in their support to see his Spider-Man for another live-action project. Readers can check out some of the reactions below.

Saw #TASM3 trending. Would be so cool for Andrew to get his trilogy and how he fought and overcame Gwen’s death and possibly fighting Venom would be awesome. Hope we get #TheAmazingSpiderMan3 #AndrewGarfield #MakeTASM3 #TASMTrilogy #Spiderman #NoWayHome #PeterParker pic.twitter.com/4gcKE0XKpS

Nothing, I'm just gonna go cry now.
Just give this man his last solo movie to end his trilogy, give him a happy ending and for God's sake, give him an alien to fight.#MakeTASM3 pic.twitter.com/dqONfxVUvf— I AM HERE!!!😇🤗 (@koushik7496) January 7, 2022

Sony Pictures’s shared Marvel universe is expected to delve deeper into the multiverse narrative with upcoming Morbius and the planned Venom 3. Making room to explore Garfield’s version of Spider-Man would only add more to the hype engine for Sony’s Marvel films. One can only hope the folks at Columbia Pictures are listening to fans’ pleas. Recently, the MCU fandom got their reward after campaigning to Save Daredevil. So perhaps, its still too early to lose hope.
