Margot Robbie Hints When She Will Play Harley Quinn Again

Margot Robbie is an important character in the DCEU. Having played Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, she has a bunch of movies in which she will appear as the character again. In a recent interview, she sat down and gave a little clue about when she would return in her popular avatar.

Talking exclusively to The Wrap, Robbie was asked when can fans expect to see her play the lunatic character again. She said,

“I think next year I’ll be back in the fishnets wielding a baseball bat. I hope.”

When she was asked if she would be seen in a movie with the Joker, she was quick to shoot that question down and added,

“Your guess is as good as mine at this point. I don’t know.

Robbie’s stint as Quinn has been an interesting one. She was first introduced in Suicide Squad and was shown incarcerated in a maximum security prison along with other villains.

She struck a friendship with Will Smith’s Deadshot but still was shown being madly in love with Jared Leto’s Joker even though he did not treat her right. After her allegiance shook a little bit, she re-joined the Squad and helped them defeat the main villain of the movie.

Since her performance in the movie was so good, she was given her own solo movie titled Gotham City Sirens, which will be directed by David Ayer. Apart from this there are also reports that she will be seen in a Joker/Harley Quinn spin-off and Suicide Squad 2.

It is not known when will each of these movies release. but given her statement, she will perhaps start filming one of them next year. Since Suicide Squad 2 is one of the movies that have been fast tracked, she might film that along with Smith, Leto and others. No official plot for Suicide Squad 2, Gotham City Sirens or Joker/Harley Quinn spin-off is known yet.
