Marvel fans praise Kevin Feige for bringing Wolverine to MCU & discuss Logan, Toby Maguire’s Spider-Man & more possibly appearing in Avengers: Secret Wars

Kevin Feige continues to earn the MCU fandom’s trust with the latest Wolverine announcement for Deadpool 3. The Marvel Studios president has been the talk of the town since that viral video of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman sending their delightful regards to the producer for reuniting Logan and the merc with the mouth. But Feige isn’t stopping there, going as far as reassuring Wanda fans they haven’t seen the last of Scarlet Witch. The fandom seems convinced this indicates the return of 2000s Marvel characters for the big event movie, Avengers: Secret Wars

The MCU producer remains on a blockbuster streak, largely by delivering what audiences desire, and with the multiverse storyline in full force for MCU Phase 5, there are talks among fans that Jackman’s Wolverine and Toby Maguire’s Spider-Man could share screen time in 2025’s Avengers: Secret Wars.

Note, this is just a fan theory though several such theories have panned out and the trio Spider-Men appearance in No Way Home is proof of that. Moreover, John Krasinski’s Reed Richards casting was a fan service so there’s no question Kevin Feige remains all ears for fans’ plea. But for now, a response from Insider Daniel RPK suggests Logan’s return in Secret Wars is all but confirmed.

Elizabeth Olsen also responded to the Wolverine news and aside from her sheer excitement, the Multiverse of Madness star is interested in appearing alongside other X-Men members as Logan’s return opens the door for other stars like Michael Fassbender to reprise Magneto.

“I guess Wolverine is X-Men,” Olsen said when asked about which characters she hopes to team up with in the future of the MCU. “It would be cool to work with a lot of those people from the X-Men franchise. I guess Fassbender is my dad in some world?” (via: Variety).

So expecting to see the Marvel heroes established in the 2000s in Avengers 5 isn’t far out of reach. Some are also hoping for Wesley Snipes’ Blade in Secret Wars. Readers can check out some of the reactions below.

Kevin Feige has become a household name in Hollywood for accomplishing the impossible, like convincing Sony Pictures to sign a collab deal to feature Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, reviving Netflix’s street-level heroes like Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and including X-Men’s Charles Xavier in Doctor Strange 2. The veteran producer’s success has been in the spotlight, even influencing other prominent players in the industry like Warner Bros. Discovery’s David Zaslav who searches for a Feige-Esque chief to hand the keys to the DC Studios brand.

It remains to be seen what plans are in store for the Fox-made Marvel characters in the ever-growing MCU.
