Marvel star hopes for Daredevil revival on Disney Plus

Is there still hope for Netflix’s Daredevil series arc to continue on Disney Plus? Well, the show’s star Amy Rutberg certainly hopes for it. The 40-year-old actress who portrayed as Marci Stahl in the Marvel miniseries has added more fire to the “Save Daredevil” campaign. This comes In addition to Tuesday’s report confirming all Netflix-made Marvel shows have found a new home at the mouse house’s OTT platform.

Charlie Cox’s reprisal of Daredevil for Marvel Cinematic Universe has outright been confirmed in Spider-Man: No Way Home – yet Marvel Studios went a step ahead and even introduced Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin in Hawkeye. Since then, many have wondered if MCU Phase 4 would establish the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen embracing his Netflix storyline or soft-reboot the character.

Now, Rutberg’s cryptic vague tweet for the Save Daredevil campaign seems to suggest the cast are also hoping for Netflix’s arc to continue in MCU. The actress’ role had prominence in Foggy’s arc as his girlfriend, yet with room to explore more. Readers can check out the tweet below.

Daredevil along with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher and The Defenders will begin streaming on Disney Plus from March 16 in the US, Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Added, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. by ABC will also be on the Disney service on the same date. But it remains to be seen if all these characters will be considered MCU canon.

In an earlier interview, Cox assured his future in MCU, though vaguely, stating: “I know something,” he said. “I don’t know much, but I know there will be something else.” Rumors from insiders indicate the 39-year-old star making brief cameo appearances in other Marvel projects. Furthermore, Daredevil will reportedly have a presence in the She-Hulk Disney Plus series as well. It will be interesting to see how the man without fear would play out in Phase 4’s multiverse narrative.
