Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios’ direct follow-up to Avengers: Infinity War, will mark the end of Marvel’s Phase 3. Rumors are rife that the upcoming film will bid goodbye to the original six Avengers, who might give up their lives while trying to reverse the casualties caused due to Mad Titan’s snap or retire when the dust settles. Well, if Marvel Studios goes ahead with its plan to retire the original Avengers then its next probable step would be to totally revamp the team’s line-up.
According to a report coming from We Got This Covered, Marvel is developing a young Avengers movie which will feature a roster of teenage and young adult characters. As per the report, the Young Avengers roster will include Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye, Hulkling, Iron Lad, Patriot, Wiccan, Stature and Vision, a version different from Paul Bettany’s version.
The report has confirmed the casting of actress Emma Fuhrmann’s as Stature. Fuhrman will be playing an older version of Ant-Man’s daughter, Cassie Lang, who eventually gets her superhero mantle of Stature. Avengers: Endgame is rumored to see the Avengers presumably traveling through time or experiencing inter-dimensional travel. So, it is expected that Stature will likely show up in the film to introduce the concept of the new team.
Another Young Avengers rumored to make an appearance in Infinity War sequel is Katherine Langford’s Kate Bishop, Clint Barton’s apprentice and the third Hawkeye.
The report falls in line with the announcement made by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige who confirmed that the next generation of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will be seeded in the next few movies.
As the studio is keeping everything related to Avengers: Endgame tightly under wraps, fans will have to wait for the film’s release to know more about Marvel Cinematic Universe’s future plans.
Avengers: Endgame is set to release on April 26, 2019.
