Marvel’s The Eternals has finally shown signs of progress with its production as a recent report has revealed that the project has received a working title. And it seems like it may be following the MCU’s usual pattern.
According to HN Entertainment, Marvel’s The Eternals working title is “Sack Lunch”. This could possibly may or may not be a reference to the fake film from the popular sitcom Seinfeld.
Marvel Studios is known for naming its MCU project’s working title with a reference to Seinfeld. The 2017-released Spider-Man: Homecoming had the working title “Summer of George”, which is a Seinfeld episode title.
In another update provided by the same news website, its being reported that Production Designer Eve Stewart, known for her work in Girl In The Spider’s Web, Les Miserables, The King’s Speech and The Danish Girl has been confirmed to be onboard the MCU project (The news was first reported by GeeksvibeNation).
The Eternals will be directed by Chloe Zhao from a script penned by Matthew and Ryan Firpo.
Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani and Dong-soek Ma are reportedly playing lead roles in the movie.
Marvel Studios is yet to officially announce The Eternals as one of its upcoming projects. But the movie is expected to possibly release on November 6th, 2020.
There’s a likelihood that the studio may unveil the project at San Diego Comic-con this year. If so, we could be getting a concept art reveal along with a few cast announcements at the presentation at Hall H. Fans are also excited at the possibility of Marvel Studios Head Kevin Feige taking the stage to offer a teasing glimpse of their Phase 4 projects. (And hopefully, Feige has managed to rope in Keanu Reeves, one can hope).
