Keanu Reeves seems unstoppable as The Matrix 4 star addressed the possibility of entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe or better; reprise his supernatural mystics’ role as John Constantine for the DC Universe. Excitement over his interest in the superhero genre has renewed hope among fans especially after hearing the actor refer to the large Marvel universe as a “multiverse”
Saying Reeves is yet to have his peak moment in Hollywood would be an understatement. Earlier this week, The 57-year-old gracefully aging A-lister was featured on Esquire’s winter 2021 issue. Aside from his jawdropping salt and pepper beard/hair, Reeves’ charming traits were off the roof donning a Tuxedo jacket and shirt by Ralph Lauren. Readers can check it out below.
Introducing Esquire’s Winter 2021 issue starring Keanu Reeves. 68 movies in, he’s always working. Playing killing machines, doofuses, romantics, messiahs, devils. But he's always Keanu. Which means something more. https://t.co/8NQZ9UOhXK pic.twitter.com/eMfkxBjUa2

The John Wick star also sat down for a brief interview to discuss his career in Hollywood, from addressing his bond with Winona Ryder, playing Neo in the Matrix trilogy to the possibility of joining the MCU. Fortunately, Reeves didn’t hesitate to share his excitement at the chance to play a Marvel character.
“Isn’t it bigger than a universe? It’s almost like a Multiverse. It’s a Marvel-verse,” said Reeves addressing the possibility. “It would be an honor. There’s some really amazing directors and visionaries, and they’re doing something that no one’s really ever done,” he said. “It’s special in that sense, in terms of the scale, the ambition, the production. So it would be cool to be a part of that.”
Initially, Reeves was asked about his past roles, specifically his fan-favorite character as John Constantine in the 2005’s Warner Bros. movie of the same name. Fortunately, the actor still desires to play the DC role and said, “I’d love to have a chance to play Constantine.”
Coincidently, Reeves has had several turns playing “John” roles in Hollywood films and his last appearance in CyberPunk 2077 video game was also as a character named Johnny Silverhand. Post The Matrix: Resurrections, the actor will reprise another “John” role for John Wick 4. Meanwhile, Reeves’ responses discussing his career have already got him trending on social media with many hoping to see him revisit his classic role as Neo in the forthcoming The Matrix 4.
