A Marvel Studios promo banner presumably from SDCC 2022 has MCU fans anticipating Captain America 4 announcement during the Hall H panel. The leaked artwork shows Anthony Mackie donning the vibranium-made falcon-winged suit alongside Emily Vancamp’s Sharon Carter.
With San Diego Comic-con barely a week away, fans are more eager to learn what Kevin Feige has in store for the 30-minute mega panel showcasing Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4 titles and more. While a new look from 2022’s title Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is certain, there’s also hope to learn details regarding Mackie’s next appearance as the star-spangled superhero in the fourth installment of the Captain America franchise. The leaked SDCC banner below shows Sharon Carter wearing a White Widow-Esque suit. It’s got Carter fans excited to finally see her villain arc explored as the Power broker.
Discussion regarding if Evans could carry the shield again was rampant earlier this month. But The Gray Man actor was quick to squash such speculations with a tweet, “Sam Wilson is Captain America,” in a response to the post from THR.

Captain America 4 plot details are in tight secret at Marvel but the movie is expected to take up from Sam’s last whereabouts in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. It’s unclear if Bucky (Sebastian Stan) a.k.a White Wolf will return but after their buddy cop duo in the Disney Plus series, there is a larger wave of support to see them together. At the moment, Bucky is reportedly set to appear in Marvel’s very own Suicide Squad-type ensemble flick, Thunderbolts.
Captain America 4 will be helmed by Julius Onah from a script penned by Falcon and the Winter Solider writer Malcolm Spellman along with Dalan Musson who was also scribed for the MCU show. No information yet regarding the main cast though many hoped to see Evans return in some capacity, the actor has no current plans to revisit the Marvel role.
Captain America does not have a release date yet.
