Marvel Studios incorporating the Merc with the Mouth (Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) in the MCU for Deadpool 3 is certainly the most anticipated tag team but details regarding how it would explain their sudden existence were unclear until now. It looks like every multiverse setup will eventually involve some connection to the Disney Plus series, Loki – as could the upcoming threequel, hinted in a cryptic interaction between Ryan Reynolds and the TVA’s Miss Minutes.
Loki is shaping up to become the most pivotal series (and character) for MCU Phase 5, largely due to the Disney Plus show’s multiverse narrative becoming the foundation block for Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming films, as it continues exploring parallel realities and dimensions that were once off the books, such as Fox’s X-Men universe and yes, that includes Deadpool.
Since that brief teaser for Deadpool 3 showed Wade Wilson in the same room as Logan, the excitement to see the two R-rated Marvel characters have been off the roof. However, the mystery surrounding their appearance on Earth 616 has intrigued the fandom into dissent debating over theories. But some believe those speculations could be put to rest after Ryan Reynolds’ tweet to Miss Minutes.
Miss Minutes responds to a fan asking if she will appear in Deadpool 3
It began with a tweet from the time mascot to the official Deadpool Twitter handle with a simple “hey there” gesture. To which, The Deadpool 3 actor responded with, “Hello, Miss Minutes.” While it does not necessarily confirm anything, Marvel fans are quite aware of Reynolds’ cryptic hints in the past. This coupled with the rumor that Loki star Owen Wilson is reportedly appearing in the Deadpool third film further adds more weight to this theory.
A fan also quizzed Miss Minutes if her involvement in Deadpool 3 should be considered all but confirmed but she was quick to say, “Nah, just saying hi to the neighborhood merc with a mouth.” However, many Marvel fans are insisting the attempt dissuade this theory is similar to Andrew Garfield denying his involvement in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Nonetheless, readers are still advised to take this news with a grain of salt.

There is a possibility it could be the other way around, with Loki season 2 hinting at Deadpool’s existence in MCU. At the moment, one can only hope it transpires.
For those unaware, Miss Minutes is the sentient Time Variance Authority who was shown interacting or better put, aiding the incarcerated variants to their place of hold and agents on the field. But by the end of the Loki series, it’s revealed that Miss Minutes has more knowledge of the TVA than any.
This teasing interaction has led many to believe Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine could be a variant and not the version from 2017’s Logan movie, as Jackman himself revealed in the earlier Deadpool 3 announcement promo. On the bright side, the fandom can be rest assured the property lies in good hands with Shawn Levy in the director’s chair.
Deadpool 3 is scheduled for the big screen on November 8, 2024. While Loki season 2 will stream during the Summer of 2023 on Disney Plus.
