Thor actor Chris Hemsworth has finally begun shooting for Men in Black’s still untitled spinoff film, Men in Black 4. The 34-year-old actor was spotted filming in London on Sunday.
The first batch of on-set pictures has surfaced online courtesy to JustJared. In the pictures, Hemsworth can be seen wearing a standard suit with white shirt, black pant, black tie, and accompanying sunglasses. You can check out the pictures below.
Men in Black 4 will see Hemsworth team up with his Thor: Ragnarok co-star Tessa Thompson as his alien-fighting partner. The two will show up as the lead agents of the top-secret government organization’s branch in London. Some of the other actors who will be joining Men in Black 4 cast are Liam Neeson, Kumail Nanjiani, and Rafe Spall.
Widows fame star Liam Neeson is expected to portray a role similar to the one played by Rip Torn in the first iteration of the franchise. Neeson’s character will likely be the head of the Men in Black organization’s London branch and will oversee the various agents.
Silicon Valley actor Kumail Nanjiani is expected to be the third member of Hemsworth and Thompson’s trio. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’s Rafe Spall will possibly feature as the film’s villain.
The Fate of the Furious director F. Gary Gray is directing Men in Black 4 from a script by Iron Man scribes Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are producing the film alongside executive producer Steven Spielberg.
The first three films in the Men in Black series followed Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as Agent J and Agent K, members of a secret organization established to monitor alien activity on Earth. The series raked in more than $1.6 billion in global box office ticket sales.
Sony is expected to announce more about Men in Black 4 during its San Diego Comic-Con 2018 panel this month.
The untitled Men in Black 4 is currently set to release on May 17, 2019.
