Michael Pena Gives Update On Ant-Man And The Wasp Filming Date

Earlier this week, it was revealed that actor Walton Goggins had joined the cast of Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. It was also confirmed that project would officially begin production sometime around this month.

Recently, Michael Pena confirmed that Ant-Man and the Wasp is all set to begin filming next week. A journalist representing Movie Pilot had the chance to interact with the actor at San Diego Comic-Con.

The interviewer was able to get a direct answer of the filming start date for the sequel project. “We actually begin shooting next week,” said Pena.

Pena played as Luis, a humorous supporting character besides Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang in the original film Ant-Man. The character received a lot of support from the masses and fans expected the actor to reprise the role in the sequel as well.

Earlier in March, Pena confirmed that he would indeed be reprising his role as Luis in Ant-Man and the Wasp.  The recent update is assurance that the project is progressing as expected.

Ant-Man 2 will debut Evangeline Lilly as The Wasp in Marvel Cinematic Universe. Earlier in the original film, The Wasp’s suit was also revealed in the end credits scene.

The Wasp won’t be around in Avengers: Infinity War. however, fans will get to Rudd’s Ant-Man in the MCU film. Earlier, the actor was also spotted filming on set as Scott Lang.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is scheduled to hit theaters on July 6th, 2018. The film is all set to be helmed by Peyton Reed later next week. The sequel’s plot is still under wraps.
