Moon Knight trailer is here and longtime Marvel fans are sounding off over Oscar Isaac‘s Marc Spector as well as Ethan Hawke‘s enigmatic villain. Added, the Disney Plus series’ first look clip also offered glimpses of Khonshu, the ancient god from the Egypt pantheon.
The upcoming new Disney Plus series by Marvel Studios seems to be going in a slightly different route than Moon Knight’s comic source material. In fact, Steven Grant, one of the three complex identities living inside him is the main character instead of Marc Spector – as revealed in a new synopsis.
“The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life,” the synopsis reads. “Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.”
Going by reactions so far, Overall responses are massively positive but some Marvel Cinematic Universe fans were initially caught off guard by Isaac’s British accent. In Moon Knight, Isaac plays as a British gift-shop employee when living as Steven Grant. Nonetheless, Isaac’s transformation as he becomes the conduit for Khonshu has viewers thrilled for what’s in store in March. Meanwhile, Hawke’s mysterious cult worshipped antagonist named Arthur Harrow has fans buzzing the most. Though, the character is not so well-known in Marvel comics having made only a single appearance.
Some are under the impression Hawke could play Sun King, a character from the Marvel comics run who forms a cult. It’s possible the MCU’s version could be a reimagining of the original interpretation. Readers can check out reactions below.

The interesting thing about Moon Knight antagonist, Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke), is that he only appeared in one issue, Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu No. 2 (1985) which has not been reprinted in trade and is not available on Marvel Unlimited. I expect a significant reimagining.

Even with multiple revelations, the series’ promos are yet to address Jake Lockley, another personality inside the vigilante. Fans can hope to learn more in further teasers and trailers until Moon Knight arrives on Disney Plus Hotstar on March 30.
