Moon Knight’s Khonshu gets Twitter emoji, MCU fans celebrate with hilarious Doctor Strange memes & more

Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight has earned its spotlight moment on Twitter with Khonshu receiving his very own emoji as episode 3 continues to cause waves among MCU fans. The new series starring Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector/Steven Grant is currently the topic of interest on social media though there seems to be a separate fan following for the Egyptian moon god itself.

Warning: The article contains spoilers for Moon Knight episode 3

Moon Knight episode 3 raises the stakes with Khonshu imprisoned for altering the night sky. Even so, hope remains with Khonshu entrusting Steven and Marc to rescue him. Since the debut episode, the Moon god’s appearance (like Ryuk from Death Note) has appealed to many viewers. So much, that some are even complimenting the god’s aesthetic.

What’s more, is the onslaught of hilarious memes from fans after watching the latest episode’s world-altering event by Khonshu and Steven. The fact that every human on earth was able to witness the changes in the constellation has some questioning what Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) would think of it. Readers can check out the reactions below.

Many fans were gushing over the new emoji so one can only wonder what reactions would be like for the Funko pop figurine.

Khonshu TV series exploring his past avatars and acts that enraged the other gods? YES please.

Don’t worry, Marvel already has it covered.

Interestingly, the series has avoided any major references to other existing Avengers even though the world is at stake from Ammit and its avatar Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke). But episode 3 mentions Madripoor, and with Moon Knight’s consequences expected to have a repelling effect – it should draw the sorcerer supreme’s attention as it did for Shang Chi.

Khonshu’s adorable Baby Yoda-esque bankable features haven’t slid away from Marvel’s radar. The character has gotten the Funk Pop treatment earning its very own figurine along with May Calamawy’s Layla.

It remains to be seen if Khonshu will appear in the next episode. The promo for Moon Knight episode 4 teases Marc waking up in a mental asylum. Could it be a flashback? Let’s hope to find out next Wednesday on Disney Plus.
